Getting Back to Business

Financial and Private Sector Development Forum 2010
World Bank Headquarters, Washington, D.C., March 2-3

The Financial and Private Sector Development Vice Presidency is pleased to announce the FPD Forum 2010: Getting Back to Business.

The forum is the biggest annual opportunity for World Bank Group staff and clients to network and discuss the latest challenges in financial sector and private sector development. This year’s focus is crisis recovery, the "new normal" for job creation, private sector growth, and the financial sector. A special session will showcase high-impact World Bank Group projects.

Clients of the World Bank and IFC -- senior government officials and private sector executives -- will be at the heart of the Forum participating as panelists and discussants, reflecting on what's important, what works, and why.

For the first time, the FPD Forum is part of a full week of financial and private sector development events: FPD Week 2010, March 1-5.  The week will include workshops on investment climate and financial sector indicators, investment climate research, access to financial services, and capital market development.
